I've been on a bit of a hiatus from the blog world.....LIFE IS CRAZY these days!

Luckily, I got to take some "me" time and get away to my happy place this weekend

just me and Zig.

In 2 short days I'll wake up like any other Wednesday, shower, brush my teeth, go through the usual everyday motions.................

but

this won't be any ordinary Wednesday...

instead of heading to work I'll start my journey to

SOUTH AFRICA!

27 Candles

This past weekend I celebrated my 27th birthday and it was PERFECT.

Family (Zig included..duh), the beach, SUNshine, relaxation, rollercoasters, DRINKS - lots of drinks, and non-stop laughter.

I LOVE my family SO, SO much.

I am so excited to go back to Santa Cruz to do it all over again this weekend at an AMAZING pig roast BBQ for my amazing cousin....(2nd sister, really...), then I head home, PACK and head off on my greatest adventure yet...

27 looks like it's gonna' be the BEST year yet...and I'm only 1 day in!

Something I will miss...

I am B E Y O N D excited about my upcoming move but there is definitely something I will miss. . .

My running trail.

It's one of my most favorite, peaceful and meaningful places. I go there to clear my mind, to fill my heart, to leave EVERYTHING behind and it's where I go to see Dexy. I snapped a few shots recently on a run with Zig, it's something that I'll definitely look forward to everytime I come back to visit. I'll have to start exploring LA once I get there to find a new little happy place to help fill my heart and clear my mind...

(I always look up and say "hi" to Dexy in the same spot and I always get the most amazing sun shining through the clouds...)

I just made the BEST purchase E V E R.

I upgraded my iMac to a brand, spankin' new MacBook Pro!!!!

(eeeeekkkk, I'm in heaven!!!)

All the things I did NOT do this week....
(all the things I really did do...)

I did not LOVE giving my dad the best birthday present EVER. Giant's home opener tickets!!! HUM BABY!!!

I did not love the super CUTE little neighbor boys buying the dogs toys at the pet store. Beyond CUTE!!!

I will not love making them paw print sugar cookies and a special thank you card from the pooches. (Dexter would have wanted it this way...)

I did not love spending a wonderful night with my 501!!! FINALLY!!! Gotta love those Halvo family sing alongs!

I did not LOVE dancing down my very first "Soul Train Lane" and with my pops on his birthday no less!

I did not love trying a tasty new drink, the Honeysuckle, at the Shady Lady on a special night out on the town with the fam. Planter's Punch too, yummmmm.

I did not love the super, wonderful, warm weather this week. Sunshine!!!

I did not love getting a start on planning the best birthday weekend bash EVER! :)
